My February was rather cold, foggy and windy. Storm "Sabine" passend through on a Monday but luckily left most of our trees standing, with an added layer of very decorative snow. We went to Munich to iMOT on the 15th - more on that on kurvenfliegen.de (German only, but lots of photos) - on a perfect spring day, but ever since, the sun has been hiding more often than not. Spring is coming late this year but as they say, good things come to those who wait.
My favourite find in February was this cute little coffee shop right next to the Kulmbach town hall. I had been walking past a few times already, and one cold Friday, I met my mom in Kulmbach, and we went in for a cuppa and a chat. Of course, I took some photos to show you. This might well become my favourite coffee shop.
Now we're in March and facing new problems. The one prominent topic right now certainly is the Covid-19 virus. Events are being cancelled left and right, visiting times in hospitals and retirement homes are strictly limited to a few minutes and one visitor per day, and as of today (14th), countless borders have been closed. This tiny little virus has shut down the entire world in record time, and I don't think we can even begin to estimate the consequences for our global economy yet. I just hope that this time next year we can say we made it through and that it wasn't anywhere near as bad as we feared it might be.
