Meine Mutter hat wieder mal großzügig ihre Sockenwolle mit mir geteilt. Für ein Knäuel habe ich sogar schon das passende Muster. Die anderen müssen sich im Moment noch überraschen lassen.
My mother generously shared her sock yarn stash with me again. I’ve already found exactly the right pattern for one of the skeins. The others will be in for a surprise.
Ich weiß ja nicht, wie es bei Euch ist, aber wenn ich mal ein Teil gefunden habe, das einfach rundum paßt, dann will ich es gleich ein paarmal stricken / häkeln / nähen. Deshalb sauste ich mit dem frisch geschlüpften One Day Beret auf dem Kopf direkt in den LYS und besorgte noch mehr Timona für noch mehr Berets.
I don’t know about you but when I find a piece that just fits, I want to knit / crochet / sew it more than just once. So off to my LYS I rushed, with the newborn One Day Beret on my head, to buy more Timona for some more berets.
Für jedes Beret sind immer zwei Farben geplant. Natürlich könnte ich auch einfarbige Berets stricken, aber wie immer zu dieser Jahreszeit ist mir nach bunt und leuchtenden Farben. Moment mal, da fehlen doch noch …
I have planned to knit each beret in two colours. Of course I could knit some in just a single colour as well, but as usual at this time of year, I crave multicolour and bright colours. Now wait a moment, there’s something missing …
Ach ja, stimmt ja, aus flieder und pink hatte ich ja schon das zweite Beret gestrickt. Tragefotos demnächst. Obwohl – kennt man eins, kennt man alle. :-))

Später beim Einkaufen habe ich dann was Neues gelernt: Farbrausch gibt’s nicht nur bei Wolle. :-O
Later, while shopping, I learned something new: colour rush is not limited to yarn. :-O
Wer hätte denn auch ahnen können, daß es Nagellack in praktisch jeder Farbe gibt? Wahrscheinlich wußte das schon jeder außer mir, aber besser spät als nie und ich habe auf jeden Fall meinen Spaß an den vielen Farben.
Who’d have thought that nail varnish comes in practically any colour imaginable? I bet everybody knew that before me but hey, better late than never, and I definitely have fun with all the colours now.

Mutti hat mir etwas von ihrem umfangreichen Sockenwollevorrat abgetreten. Der nächste Winter kommt schließlich bestimmt. Den heutigen Temperaturen nach zu urteilen … so morgen in etwa.
Mum gave me some of her elaborate sock yarn stash. After all, there is sure to be another winter. And judging by today’s temperatures … might possibly start tomorrow.
