Es war ein höchst produktives Wochenende. Ich habe einfach mein Laptop ausgeschaltet und den ganzen Sonntag gestrickt, und nun ist er fertig, der bunte Schal aus Sockenwolleresten. Er ist ca. 2 m lang und 15 cm breit.

The weekend turned out to be a very productive one. I turned off the laptop and knit all Sunday, and now my gaudy sock yarn scarf is done. It’s about 2 m long and 15 cm wide.

Ich liebe die Art, wie die Farben ineinander verschmelzen. Es waren alles Reste von selbstmusternder Sockenwolle in verschiedenen Farben, doppelfädig verstrickt, und ich würde mal sagen, keine  zwei Reihen sind gleich geworden.

I love the way the colours blend into each other. I used selfstriping sock yarn in lots of different colours, two strands at a time, and I guess no two rows look the same.

Die Fransen habe ich nicht groß zurechtgeschnitten, nur ein paar besonders lange eingekürzt. Ich finde es ganz lustig, daß sie ein bißchen unregelmäßig ausgefallen sind, das betont den bunten Charme so nett.

I didn’t trim the fringes save cutting some extremely long ones. I prefer them to be a little irregular, it just adds to the overall charm, I think.
