Geduld ist nicht gerade meine stärkste Eigenschaft. Genau deshalb hatte ich eine Zeitlang wirklich die Lust am Spinnen verloren, denn nichts klappte so, wie ich es wollte, und es frustriert wirklich fürchterlich, wenn alles Üben nichts bringt. Gestern beim Altstadtfest in Kronach hatte ich dann Gelegenheit, einer erfahreren Spinnerin zuzusehen, und dabei fielen mir doch so die einen oder anderen Fehler auf, die ich bisher gemacht habe. Die Lust war wieder da. Heute hatte ich dann nichts weiter vor, et voilà:

Patience is not exactly what I’m known for. And lack thereof resulted in losing my spinning mojo. Nothing seemed to work out the way I had intended, and there is hardly anything more frustrating than practicing and not getting anywhere. Yesterday, at Kronach Town Festival, I had the chance to watch an experienced spinner. That helped to make me aware of mistakes I have been making all the time, and regain my mojo. Today I had nothing else on the list, and so here goes:

Am Drall muss ich noch arbeiten und an der Gleichmässigkeit auch, aber dies hier ist wirklich wesentlich besser als alles, was ich bisher so produziert habe. Vielleicht wird es ja doch noch was mit Emma und mir.

I’m still not content with the twist and the evenness but this is definitely better than anything I’ve produced so far. Maybe Emma and I will learn to work together.
