Nachdem ich es im ersten Anlauf zu groß gestrickt hatte und wieder ribbeln mußte, ist es nun doch noch gelungen, mein One Day Beret. Ich entschuldige mich für das dümmliche Grinsen, aber die Tatsache, daß es im zweiten Anlauf paßte und ich damit auffem Kopp trotzdem eher wie ein Mensch aussehe als wie ein Chihuahua – und das, obwohl ich nun wirklich kein “Hutgesicht” habe – ist schon einen … na sagen wir mal … grenzwertigen Gesichtsausdruck wert, finde ich.
So finally, after having had to frog the first version that turned out too large, my One Day Beret is done. I’m sorry for that stupid grin but the fact that I managed to get it right in the end, combined with the feeling that I still look halfway human when wearing it and not all Chihuahua, inspite of definitely not being a “hat person” – well, enough said.

Hi Ella, thanks for leaving a comment on my blog so I could “find” you again! I wanted to link to your scarf and then I realised that I lost the link! This time I have favourited it, to be sure :)
The hat fits you nicely and I totally understand what you mean about not being a hat person. I am not knitting anymore hats for my family, we’re not hat people. If we travel in winter, we just have to wear coats with hoods to keep our heads warm :)
I took another look at your pretty scarf, and I think that I have to knit a scarf after all. I’m going to try knitting with 2 strands this time as you did and see how the colours turn out. That’s the best part, so fun to go crazy with the colours!

Die sieht doch toll aus und vor allem die schönen herbstlichen Farben gefallen mir gut! Ich hab mir auch grad überlegt, daß ich eigentlich noch eine neue Mütze für den täglichen Spaziergang bräuchte, so langsam wird es ohne richtig unangenehm, aber leider hab ich ja noch etliche andere Dinge zum Fertigmachen und diesmal gilt keine Ausrede, Weihnachten rückt merklich näher. Es heißt zwar “One day”, aber so schnell bin ich nicht, sonst würden jetzt gleich anschließend die Nadeln glühen. So geh ich halt wieder in den Garten und schnippel noch ein bißerl.
